Families Are Eternal
I believe that a big part of who we are comes from those who made it possible for us to be, our family. I have decided to dedicate a great deal of time and effort towards the genealogical research of my ancestors and hope to provide stories and information on how they lived their lives.

Dora Lee Sawyer
Born: 27 September 1909
Place: Randolph County, Georgia
Married Ernest David Peak
Date: 18 November 1934
Place: Morgan, Georgia
Died: 12 December 2002
Place: Albany, Georgia
Dora Lee Sawyer is my great grandmother. She was already 81 years old when I was born in 1990 and had long outlived Ernest David Peak who died 16 November 1968. I was able to spend 12 great years with my Granny Peak before she passed away.
Granny's Trailer
There are many items in Granny Peak's house that I remember so clearly. She had a big bed. It was old and bouncy. It was probably that same bed that my daddy fell off when he was a youngen. In her bed room she had an old black phone the one that you had to put your finger in the medal wheel and twist it for each number. I remember playing with the phone and trying to figure it out. Im not sure if it even worked. She had a status of a scary looking dog right to the left when you walked in the room. Matt and I stayed at Granny's every once in a while and we would sleep in the little bed in between the living room and her bedroom. It wasn't really a room although it had drawers on the left side.
